About Conner

Conner Nace

Conner Nace is a 19-year-old musician from Doylestown, PA.  He's currently a sophomore at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, studying Contemporary Commercial Music (Vocals) with an emphasis on Music Business.  During the school year he's also a volunteer drum instructor, providing lessons to Nashville area children from low-income families at W.O. Smith Music School in Nashville, TN.

While home this past summer, he performed with friends at various local venues including Evolution Candy, New Hope Winery, Quakertown Farmers Market, Puck, Locals 10538, Bob Egan's Virtual Piano Bar, Bowman's Tavern, Youth Arts Fest, The Asbury, Tim McLoone's Supper Club, Peddler's Village, and the Barn.

He is always looking for opportunities to sing, whether it's live music with a band, open mics, jam sessions with friends, or full theater productions.  So, if you're looking for a great musician to perform at your next party, event, or show, reach out to Conner through his contact page to discuss options and availability.  Or click here to see where he'll be playing next!

Early Years

Conner got his start in music in 2nd grade, at the age of 7.  After his first year of vocal lessons, he joined School of Rock's Rock 101 program before moving up to Seasonal Shows in the fall of 4th grade.  By spring he was invited to join the Doylestown School of Rock House Band, one of the youngest members ever, performing with the best of the best students from the school.  It was around this time that he added drums to his weekly lesson schedule in addition to vocals.

For the remainder of elementary school Conner continued to work on his musicianship by performing in School of Rock Seasonal Shows and with the House Band in 35 separate stage performances. During this time, he also added keyboard lessons to his weekly vocal and drum lessons.

Middle School

In middle school Conner continued to work on his musicianship by performing in School of Rock Seasonal Shows and with the House Band in 48 separate stage performances.  In 7th grade he participated in his first performance outside of School of Rock, singing in his school's end-of-year talent show.  He followed this up in 8th grade by participating in his school's Coffee House event. Later that year, at the onset of the pandemic, the music program at his middle school began hosting virtual "Sequestered Songfests" and Conner was a regular participant for the remainder of his time in middle school.  These Songfests helped to broaden his local fan base and earn him numerous invites to join the school musical!

High School

In high school Conner remained an active participant at School of Rock, both with Seasonal Shows and House Band (no longer the youngest member!) participating in over 45 stage performances.  During this time, he also added guitar lessons to his weekly schedule.  In addition, he expanded his music performance skills with opportunities offered at his high school.  He joined the theater program and participated in several shows: as the Wolf and Rapunzel's Prince in Into The Woods, as Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, and as Curly in Oklahoma!. In addition to the musicals, Conner's high school offered one hour in the middle of each school day for students to use as they please, so for all three years he spent an hour almost every school day in the Music Technology room jamming with friends, drumming and singing.  This time helped him develop skills in "quick learning" a song, on the spot improv of songs he doesn't know, and exposure to many different genres of music.  He also performed with the school choir and was a multi-time guest vocalist with his school's orchestra.  During his junior summer he performed with the Theater Arts Center of Doylestown in their production of Chicago, adding the role of Billy Flynn to his repertoire.  His senior year he continued vocal lessons (both classical and contemporary) while also adding three new theater dance classes weekly.  Fall of senior year he played the role of Gomez in his high school's production of Addam's Family and that spring performed as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.  And his senior year summer he performed with Doylestown Theater Academy as Julian Marsh in their production of 42nd Street. Outside of school, Conner spent most Monday nights at Villa Capri's open mic night; sometimes solo, sometimes with friends from high school, and sometimes with friends from School of Rock.  He also spent (and continues to spend!) Friday's during the summer performing at Bob Eagan's Open Mic Night at Bowman's Tavern in New Hope, PA.
